What is MapYeti?
MapYeti is a free way to find sales and specials sorted by category and location in one convenient website. Near gone are the days of browsing coupon papers for random deals. MapYeti organizes sales in such a way that you can either randomly peruse deals or find a specific type of deal. Further, MapYeti uses an interactive mapping feature to help you find sales by location. Try choosing a category, entering a search term or address, or changing the map’s search radius. You’re likely to find something that interests you

Why was MapYeti created?
MapYeti was created because it hadn’t been created before. It’s no mystery that most people are attracted to both great deals and convenience; however, to our knowledge, no website before has placed great sales and specials conveniently in one place, especially searchable by location and type. So here you have it. You’re welcome

Where does MapYeti get the sales and specials information posted on the site?
MapYeti works to get any information on sales and specials straight from the mouth of the horse, or from businesses themselves. Still, some of the information is added by us here at MapYeti as we transition that responsibility to the businesses to keep sales and specials up-to-date themselves.

How do I sign up for email updates? Why should I sign up for email updates?
Just head to the upper right corner of the website and submit your email there. This email list will keep you up to date on the sales posted on MapYeti for any city that you choose. As the number of businesses, sales, and specials on MapYeti grows, we plan to allow you to receive only email updates on the categories of sales or specials that you care about. Whether you are interested in furniture sales in Atlanta, attraction specials in New York, or any other sales or specials, in the near future, we will tailor emails to your interests.

Why won’t the sale or business I’m looking for showing up when I search for it?
MapYeti will only search for sales falling into the blue search radius shown on the map. Be sure that you’ve specified the address, city, or search radius under which a sale or special might fall. Don’t be afraid to play around with the map to see how your results change. There are plenty of sales to find depending on where you search. Also, if you want to check out a business you know well, just head to “All Businesses” and search from there.

What’s the Deal with the “Destinations” Stuff?
When you find sales or specials at businesses you’d like to visit, first click the sale. Next click “Add to Destinations” in the bubble displayed on the map. Feel free to add as many businesses as you like. At any point, head up to upper right corner of the website and click on “Get Directions” to get directions to all the places you selected. Drag and drop the sales, specials, and businesses to change the order to your liking.

What cities are featured on MapYeti?
MapYeti is initially focused on Atlanta, with growing branches in Boston and New York, but there’s nothing stopping anyone from adding businesses and their sales and specials in other places as well.

Can I add sales and specials even though I’m not a business owner?
Of course! Make a user account and add sales and specials to your heart’s content. Business accounts are designed for business owners. Business accounts allow you to make a personalized page for your business on MapYeti. Further, sales and specials added through a business account will rank higher than those added by user accounts.

Can I Rate and Review individual Sales and Specials?
User-added sales and specials can be rated and reviewed, but if a sale or special is added by a business then only the business itself may be rated and reviewed. Both MapYeti and the businesses posting sales value your input. If you’ve had an experience, good or bad, let us know what you think. Aside from providing you with an extra insight on a business, rating and reviewing are the best ways MapYeti has to make sure businesses are accurately posting sales.
