Jivo, an Irish consumer electronics company, has introduced a biodegradable iPhone case called the JIVO Leaf. Designed to protect both the phone and the environment, the JIVO leaf is made from 100 percent organic resin called “Eco-Pure” that is injected into a standard TPU case. While an ordinary iPhone case may take up to fifty years to degrade, the Leaf case will biodegrade in just five years. Moreover, the packaging is also completely recyclable.

John McHugh, a director of JIVO, said…

We set out to create the world’s best iPhone case. Our design brief was to create a fashionable case that would give world class protection with the added benefit that it is totally biodegradable.

The JIVO Leaf will retail for approximately £18 when it hits the shelves in March.
