Sandsation brings sand art to Berlin

Sand artists from all over the world, including Asia’s most renowned carver Sudarsan Pattnaik, have assembled at the O2 World in the German capital city Berlin to participate in the 8th International Sand Sculpture Festival which has been named Sandsation this year. This year’s competition – running from June 6 to August 29 – revolves around the theme of ‘Heat in Sand’. Aside from seeing their seniors creating sculptures for the contest, the junior sand artists will get a chance to join free workshops as well.
