June 17, 2010 – Sodexo announced yesterday the start of two new partnerships with leading sources of sustainable and fair trade products that will significantly increase the amount of ethically sourced coffee and tea that the company servers, reinforcing their commitment to “Aspretto,” the company’s ethical coffee and tea brand.

The first partnership is with United Coffee (formerly known as Drie Mollen), one of Europe’s largest private coffee roasters and recent winner of the Rainforest Alliance’s “Corporate Green Globe” for their commitment to sustainable development. United will supply Sodexowith fair trade coffee for their automated coffee machines.

The second partnership is with Oakland, CA based Numi Tea, an organic tea producer whose products are certified organic, kosher, halal and fair trade. Numi is recognized internationally for their work in reducing the use of natural resources in their production and transportation as well as their use of recyclable and reusable materials. The company will be supplying Sodexo with 8 organic teas, 6 of which are fair trade certified.
