The 21st annual American Century Championship golf tournament took place over the weekend in Nevada, in honor of Lance Armstrong.

Michael JordanCharles Barkley, Jerry Rice, Taylor Hicks, Troy Aikmen, Don Cheadle and Mario Lemieux were among the 80 sports and entertainment celebrities and hall of famers who competed this weekend.

Michael Jordan, the retired basketball legend, was out to play in this weekend’s championship, pairing up with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and Boston Celtics star Ray Allen. The Jordan, Romo, Allen group teed off at 10:10 am Friday at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, just before Charles Barkley and after the marquee threesome of Troy Aikman, John Elway and Aaron Rogers.

The American Century Championship’s nationally televised first round started with an 8:10 am tee time for former champions and NFL quarterbacks Chris Chandler, Billy Joe Tolliver, along with perennial contender Trent Dilfer.

Rascal Flatts also took to the stage for a special performance at the American Century Championship.
